I noticed from searching the web recently conducting my competitor comparison research that some German car specialists online are quoting 12-month warranties on Dealer core parts (some call these OEM (Original Equipment of the Manufacturer). A core part is a mechanical component I.E steering, Brake & suspension.

The OEM part is a component made by a supplier to the Manufacturer i.e. Lemforder, Febi, LUK, Jurid, Sachs, ATE & TRW etc. These are quality-assured components checked by the Manufacturer before going into production. The parts from these OEM suppliers come with a minimum of 2 year warranty NOT just 12 months. i.e. TRW brake callipers come with a 3-year warranty (these are fitted to the majority of VAG vehicles).

It is paramount these quality-assured components are not confused with other cheaper non-certified components when replacing/repairing your vehicle.

Autotecnic will only replace Genuine or OEM steering, suspension & brake components that come with a 2-year warranty. (unless otherwise discussed at the time of repair).

There may be a slightly higher cost of the component/s but presented with the further warranty increase it is well worth it, presenting the customer with “peace of mind” on the repair/s carried out.
