A recent repair on a VW Bora identified a poor performance rear braking system with a slight grating noise. Our technician identified that new brake pads had been replaced onto deteriorated brake discs which were well below the minimum threshold of 7mm. A good wire brush & clean up with lubrication grease, new brake discs & pads fitted soon sorted the problem. Efficiencies were back to specification, tested on our MOT brake system. Minimum standard markings can be viewed on the new brake discs. The complete braking system was also bled with DOT 4 fluid to provide a complete safe repair.
